Bank of America

Bank of America takes part in a lot of charitable and educational initiatives, from sponsoring the Special Olympics or the Chicago Marathon, to creating financial education materials for Better Money Habits, and partnering with Feeding America to fight hunger in local communities.

Special Olympics / Dustin Plunkett

One of the pillars of the Special Olympics is “Inclusion & Respect” and we were able to showcase that in a very powerful way by working with ESPN to get former Special Olympian, Dustin Plunkett hired as a key member of the on air team covering the Games. Anyone tuning into SportsCenter saw how talented Dustin was, and his work became the centerpiece of the overall digital campaign, and showed what inclusion and respect really can mean.

Better Money Habits

Bank of America like many other banks tries to educate people on the best ways to be financially savvy. In general, they say things like “Saving money is good. Do that and you may have money.” or “Buying a house could be a good investment.” We decided to have a little fun, and try to really get people’s attention when they’re really just coming to the site to check their bank balance. The results, the one with the reindeer sweater had the most clicks of any Better Money Habits masthead ever.

We also just finished a year long project merging all educational content across all Bank of America properties under the Better Money Habits brand.
